Kansai Airport reopens international air route

After being closed for 10 days due to a vicious typhoon that devastated western Japan, Kansai International Airport has now reopened and flight services are up and running.

On the 7th of September, Terminal 2 reopened it’s domestic line, with Terminal 1’s south side international line reopening on the 14th.

Kansai International received only 155 arrivals and departures on the 14th. Kansai International Airport has stated that Terminal 1’s north side will reopen after the 21st.

When Terminal 1 reopened early in the morning, a huge crowd had gathered for departures. A woman who was leaving for Shanghai stated, “Today I was worried whether or not the flight would be cancelled, but I’m happy that the airport was fixed in such a short time.”
